We are now sold in some really cool stores!! If you happen to be in Fargo, ND, check out f. is for frank jewelry in a boutique called SHANNALEE. Going to Little Rock, AK anytime soon? Check out a cute little store called Box Turtle. Last Friday, I went to downtown McKinney, TX to deliver an order to Pumps, an adorable shoe and accessories store. In addition to the most fab f. is for frank jewelry, they had these black booties with a gray flower that were to die for.

Jennifer Dunn threw a fabulous party on Saturday for the launch of her company, sisterbrothermgmt (a company that reps photographers). For her schwag bags, we made her some super rad camera place card holders with her logo on the back. We sculpted the vintage cameras and then cast them in pewter with an antique finish. They are the perfect promotional piece! Check out some of the process.

This event is for humans and socialized dogs alike. Armhole will be there with a t-shirt bar set up to make great custom t-shirts for you and your canine counterpart, and f. is for frank will show off their new line of dog tags for those dogs in need of a little bling. Photographer Steve Visneau will be taking fabulous pet portraits for a donation. Petropolitian will be handing out delicious doggy sundaes and after your pets are fancy and full they are welcome to frolic unleashed in a large, fenced area! Be sure to visit the NorCal Boxer Rescue tent to meet the adorable boxers available for adoption. In addition, there will be a raffle with prizes donated by Camp Bow Wow and Urban Dog Coffee, a DJ spinning phat tunes and much more! Proceeds will benefit NorCal Boxer Rescue. *NorCal Boxer Rescue provides a temporary sanctuary for Boxers in need throughout Northern Texas. Boxers come to us from shelters and from owners who are no longer able to care for them. We provide these animals with veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, a microchip, a temporary foster home at a private residence, lots of love, and placement into a carefully screened home forever.

fun with photos! f. has been working on a lookbook to give stores that would like to carry our line of jewelry. We needed a few "action" shots for the books, so we enlisted two of our super talented friends to help us out. Steven Visneau Photography Steven is a good friend, super dad and a great photographer. As a friend of many years, I have had the privilege of watching him grow a photographer. Steven specializes in fashion and children's photography. You can check out some of his work here. Tobie is a recent transplant to Texas from Bellingham, Washington, but we will soon lose her to the likes of Austin. This past month we created this custom ring for Anna Saltzman using our seasponge design. We added natural minerals and the ring became a real statement piece... sure to catch everyone's eye. The Saltzman ring is cast out of pewter with a antique polish finish. So unique!

star pulls... custom hardware

Our client really loved our Texas Star knobs but had two holes previously drilled in her cabinets. We adapted our Texas Star knob design into a pull. The hardware is cast in pewter with an antique satin finish.

Prints of Love Cufflinks

Here is an example of our Prints of Love Cufflinks which Afton (age 2) made for her dad. She pressed her fingerprint into a special type of clay. We took her clay impression and made a mold. Then we cast the impression into pewter, added cufflink backs and gave them a beautiful antique satin finish. I think Afton's dad is going to love his handmade cufflinks!

Summer workshops and KIDS CAMP schedule

in all of our Pewter Lab workshops at f. is for frank...
All students will receive a demonstration of the molding and

casting processes at the start of every workshop. Then we will

help you create your one of a kind design, out of a special clay.

By providing you with a variety of tools and materials and

hand-on assistance, we will help you achieve your ultimate

piece. We will then bake the clay and prepare it for the mold

making process. Due to the time it takes to create molds,

we do not mold and cast your particular design that day,

but you will have the opportunity to practice the casting

process on existing molds in the lab.

All creations are ready in 1-2 weeks.

Amateurs to experienced jewelry makers are invited to create

anything from cufflinks to place card holders and pendants to

keychains out of pewter. This is an open studio atmosphere
where each student can choose the direction of their creation.

Students are welcome to bring in any additional stones that they

may want to include in their pieces. We also have stones and

carved bones that can be purchased.
$50 and up (price is determined by final project)

It’s fun to play in the sand even as an adult! This Pewter Lab

workshop will teach students different techniques used in the

art of sand casting. You will then be able to put your newfound

knowledge to use by creating a one of a kind sand casting.
Students will have the opportunity to take their knowledge and

skills even further by learning how to file, sand and polish their

casting. This is a very ‘process based’ workshop and concentrates

more on techniques than on a finished piece.

mommy and me ages 5 and up
