weekend happenings.. sprinkled with love

This past weekend my friends threw me a sprinkle (baby shower light).  I feel like "sprinkles" are fairly new to the baby shower world so don't feel bad if you haven't heard of one.  Its usually a smaller shower for the 2nd baby that is the opposite sex from the first child.  The party was the perfect get together with my closest friends. We made onesies, ate some great food and I got adorable baby GIRL clothes.  I cant believe I am 32 weeks pregnant with only 8 weeks to go....

we won best place for peacocking!  in case you thought you were cool but clearly not that cool cause  you had know idea what that meant (like me)... here is the definition in the urban dictionary:

peacocking	736 up, 152 down
	Peacocking means dressing for attention. Just like Peacock's use their feathers to get a mate. Peacocking is meant to make opening a girl easier, but if you're not congruent with your look (like, if you look like you're gay and you try to hit on a girl), wires are gonna get crossed somewhere and you're gonna blow yourself out.

weekend happenings...

this weekend is the Dallas Flea.  its been so long since we have done a Dallas show, i am really excited about it.  there will be great finds as always.  my friend kady will be there with her fabulous dog collars and we will be selling some dog tags/ charms to compliment.  we will also have our new collection along with some sale items.  come see us.

for a great cause...making lemonade

One of my very good friends, Trisha Mayrack is putting on a fabulous event supporting National Brain Tumor Society.   This event and cause is very close to her heart because she lost her older brother to brain cancer a few years ago.  This party will have amazing art, good drink, live entertainment and badass silent auction items (including jewelry by f. is for frank).  If there is anything to know about Trisha, she can put on damn good party and be the life of it.  Turn life's lemons into aid... Sept. 18th 7pm-9pm @ the Goss Gallery. donations start at $50.  Email info@sevencardgroup.com fro tickets, donation information and questions.  Tickets can be purchased at the door.

a fresh steele loves on Pearl

Are you a dog lover?  Then you have to check out our friend, Kady's blog, a fresh steele.  She features cool pets, collars and more.  She also makes the most amazing dog collars in which both my dogs sport.  Check out her etsy shop dixie goods company.

Today in her meet and sniff section she highlighted my dog, Pearl.  About 3 years ago I found Pearl on the streets, skinny, scared and sick.  The plan was nurse her back to health and find her a good home.  She found a good home alright (mine).  She is a little skittish and an annoyingly crazy licker but a real lover.  She tends to drive everyone a little crazy except for her best friend, Walker (my 2 year old).  She is his mini horse, jungle gym and biggest protector.  Cheers to Pearl, she deserves some love today.
